Camera Equipment

One way to get a long telephoto lens without spending big bucks is to add a tele-converter onto your current telephoto lens. Tele-converters work with either fixed or zoom lens. Converters come in two basic sizes, 1.4x and 2x. A 1.4x converter turns a 200mm telephoto lens into a 280mm lens. A 2x converter makes that same 200mm lens into a 400mm lens. Be sure to buy a converter that matches up to your lens. Also, remember that you loose 1 to 2 stops of lights using a converter.
